A Simple Serving Bowl #4
$ 48.00
Offered is a stoneware serving bowl. Approximately 10" in dia. and 4" tall.
This shape, with it's wide flat bottom and straight flared walls , is called a milk pan. They were used for various house hold functions besides milking. Used in the preparation of foods, gathering of vegetables as well as other kitchen duties. These bowls were produced in various sizes, from the 10' to the 20" diameter, or bigger. This size is good for family size servings. Larger ones are possible on request.
My photos do not do this simple bowl justice. This toasty brown glaze expresses the beauty of it's simplicity. The milk pan shape makes it stable and easy to carry. It also packs well for those reenactors who love to prepare and serve good food in camp. Thank you for looking.
